I thought that I’d post about 20 or so photos from some fine moments during 2008. However, since many of my favorite shots from 08 are on the Main Website … I thought that I’d pick a few others that didn’t get on the main site. We are already a few days into 2009, so I wanted to quickly choose a few pics that I liked from this past year … the problem that I had is that I started out with over one hundred fav’s … so I quickly went through the list of 100 and started selecting mostly at random. Some were posted on the old blog and some were not. As I look back at the couples and families that I had the privilege to work with over the past year I have to say that 08 was one of the best years to date. A huge Thank You to all of the good people that I worked with this past year !!!
Again, here’s just a very small portion of good moments from a great 2008 !

Andy and Kelsy … Post Session … As you can see above this couple had quite a good sense of humor

I wish I had the time to post a favorite photo from each and every wedding and every session from this past year.
THANK YOU AGAIN FOR A GREAT 2008 !!!!
Last week I had one of the best opportunity weddings to photograph and a great way to end the 08 season. Danielle, Noel, and about 100 of their family and friends all came into town from Texas for a classic destination New Orleans wedding. The first thing that made me smile is when Danielle told me that she loves taking pictures and wants a lot of them … and … forget tradition :-) Since everything took place at one location in the heart of the French Qter, this was a perfect situation for a “FIRST SIGHT” pre wedding session. A few hours prior to the ceremony the Maison Dupry Hotel had arranged a private courtyard for Danielle and Noel to see each other for the first time in the wedding dress and tuxedo. After documenting this private special moment between the bride and groom, we proceeded with a Newlywed Post style photo session along the back streets of the French Qter. The cool weather complemented a beautiful courtyard ceremony followed by a reception with all of the cajun classic foods including table side bananas foster. The night ended after everyone followed the jazz band around the French Qter for one big ‘ol second line. Danielle and Noel , you guys did good, real good ! Thank you for choosing me to document this awesome wedding ! (here’s just a few of many many shots)

FIRST SIGHT
The photo above shows the private moment just before Danielle tells Noel to turn around to see her. There are so many advantages for doing First Sight.

After a documenting a few natural moments in the private courtyard, we were able to take advantage of some great photo opportunities

I’ve said a bunch of times … I love shooting these Post Wedding Sessions. It’s the perfect complement of photos for the primary album or as a secondary book all by itself. Vicki and Michael made my job easy as we walked through the French Qter. A special prop to my lovely daughter for being my part time “light girl”. This session ended fittingly on the river front … since Michael is a captain for one of those monster size boats that travel offshore. Here’s just a few of my favorites.
