Jeanee’ & Joseph Newlywed Post / TTD Session

For those brides who have worked with me know that I will gladly suggest doing some type of Post Session and combine it with a TTD session. So when Jeanee’s mom called me she pitched a general concept for the shoot. They wanted something romantic … something that still fit in the “New Orleans” theme … and something both indoors (in the air condition :-)  and some low lit outdoor shots at night time. Other than staying in this general theme she told me that I can have full say so regarding shots and locations. Oh my, did that make me happy ! So after a bit of brainstorming, several hotel suite reservation changes, and finding a good “rain location” (that will make sense later) we were set and ready for the shoot. Jeanee’ and Joseph were absolute troopers for this double portrait session which lasted several hours. I have to thank the family members who worked together with me as a team. Here’s just a few of many favorites:

Tarah & Blake Wedding

A few shots from Tarah and Blake’s wedding. The ceremony was at the always beautiful Holy Name of Jesus on St. Charles. I have to give a special mention to the Audobon Tea Room located in uptown New Orleans right next to the Audobon Zoo. I love love love the lighting and the rich hard wood floors in this beautiful reception venue. The food is equally as good. For brides looking to stay in the uptown area, this place is worth looking in to. It was also a pleasure working with  Suzy Marks Videography who captured the evening on video.

Tarah Formals

Here’s just a couple shots from Tarah’s Formal Session. We photographed her session at the historic Pitot House … a Louisiana landmark from the early 1800’s. Practically all of the furniture, hard wood floors, fireplace, and mirrors are from the origianal 1800’s. Here’s just a few of my favorites.

Amanda & Deric Wedding

So many things went right during Amanda and Derec’s wedding. First, this was one of the nicest and easy going families that I have worked with … and they love pictures. If you are a bride looking for a beautiful uptown church then you must look at St. Francis Assisi on State St. Easily one of the prettiest churches around … and the lighting is as good as many photography studios. I wish that I could shoot here every week.  The Sheraton on Canal St was brilliant as always. The big wall size windows in the suites provide amazing light for pics and the Armstrong Ballroom is always breathtaking.  Zoes Bakery created another beautiful great tasting cake. Rickey Heromans Florist had colorful fresh flowers throughout the entire church and reception. Debbie Musso, wedding coordinator out of Baton Rouge worked with everyone to ensure the days events went smooth. Finally Billy Welliver from Welliver Productions captured the entire day in high definition. Billy’s studio is located in Lakeside Shopping Center in Metairie. I really had a hard time choosing under 20 pics for this blog post. Here’s just a small handfull of many great moments and portraits. Congratulations Amanda and Deric ! Enjoy !
