I love working with a family that is passionate about their pictures. Jeanne’ and Joseph have been planning their wedding for one solid year. The ceremony took place at the historic St Mary’s Assumption and the reception was at the beautiful Chateau Estates Country Club. I loved that all of the extra photos from from the engagement and formal sessions that they ordered were framed and decorated throughout the grand ball room. Chad Dyle and his assistant Kelly video taped every moment from multiple cameras throughout the night. Following a honeymoon to the Bahama’s, Jeanne’ and Joseph have plans to finish the wedding album with a New Orleans style Post Wedding Session  (although I believe that a TTD session is on the table … or I should say on the beach ? … Rhonda ??)

Here’s a few shots from one of my favorite bridal formal sessions in the New Orleans area. I’ve been waiting since October to post these. The wedding was this past weekend so Jeanne’ and Joseph’s wedding pics will be coming soon.

LaShondra and Robert came in town this past week for their engagement session. Incredibly nice and easy going couple ! Here’s just a couple of shots from a great afternoon in the park.

Last week Cheryl and Chris flew in from Texas for a New Orleans weekend and to do their engagement session. They are planning a beautiful destination French Qter wedding this coming March.  A very easy going and laid back couple … You guys were great to work with and I am looking forward to shooting your wedding. Here’s just a few moments from the session.

After one solid plus year of planning their wedding, Lori and Brian had a perfect night. The ceremony was in one of the largest churches in the New Orleans area … St. Joseph on Tulane. Following a candle light mass, the reception was held at The Balcony in Metairie. Fresh food, premium drinks, and upscale romantic atmosphere mixed well with this large group of family and friends. Upon returning from their honeymoon we will photograph a Newlywed Post Session in the historic French Qter. Here’s just a few shots from another great January 09 wedding.

Nicole and Mickey’s wedding kicked off the 2009 wedding season. Following the ceremony at Our Lady of Holy Rosary, the reception was held in City Park at The Pavilion of Two Sisters. Rain ? Who said rain will dampen a wedding ? This is a MYTH ! … and Nicole and Mickey proved that this is a myth. Right from the start the live band, “The Distractions” had this crowd dancing till the very end. Terry and Joe from Studio Vieux Carre video taped every moment (which by the way, Mickey is a professional video editor for SVC) … and Mickey and his friends are at the top of the BMX circuit. These are the guys that you see on TV doing those insane flying tricks on BMX bikes. (which explains some of the crazy airborne  dance sequences towards the end of the reception) Following a honeymoon to Italy the couple will return for a New Orleans style “Newlywed Post Wedding Session”. Nicole and Mickey … y’all did good ! Here’s just a very small handful of moments from a great wedding.

I thought that I’d post about 20 or so photos from some fine moments during 2008. However, since many of my favorite shots from 08 are on the Main Website … I thought that I’d pick a few others that didn’t get on the main site. We are already a few days into 2009, so I wanted to quickly choose a few pics that I liked from this past year   …   the problem that I had is that I started out with over one hundred fav’s … so I quickly went through the list of 100 and started selecting mostly at random. Some were posted on the old blog and some were not. As I look back at the couples and families that I had the privilege to work with over the past year I have to say that 08 was one of the best years to date. A huge Thank You to all of the good people that I worked with this past year !!!
